Kosmische Wellen
Kosmische Wellen is an electronic music project by Alexander Obukhov (ObukhovAUDIO), a sound experimenter shaped by vast industrial landscapes, long nights, and an enduring fascination with electronic sound and atmosphere.
His journey into electronic music began in 1992, when radio parts, discarded electronics, and found industrial objects became the raw materials for self-built instruments. These devices, combined with early synthesizers and analog equipment, formed a soundscape of tones, pulses, and evolving oscillations.
In 1994, Alexander recorded his first album Last Evolution in a home studio using only the tools available at hand: handmade circuits, tape machines, and analog signal paths. The recording became an early document of applied electronic imagination — where noise turned into structure and rhythm into trajectory.
Between 1996 and 2010, Hot Tape Studio became a laboratory for transformation, where he explored the raw and fluid world of electronic and acoustic sound. These years shaped a deeply personal approach to composition, where atmosphere, repetition, and texture merged into evolving sonic landscapes that altered his perception of music and reality alike.
Today, Kosmische Wellen continues its mission: transforming electricity into atmosphere, circuits into emotion, and time into sound — building a bridge between the analog dreams of the past and the digital horizons of tomorrow.
